Around 5.8 million people in the UK live in ‘deep poverty’, making it hard for them to afford every day essentials, including food. The implications of poverty are vast and as a community, we have a responsibility to look after our neighbours in order to build a just, caring and loving society.
Ibn Az-Zubair reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say, “He is not a believer whose stomach is filled while the neighbour to his side goes hungry.”
One Nation has been actively involved in various homeless/needy projects across West Yorkshire for around 3 years and have identified the need to help those who are struggling with the essentials such as food, blankets, toiletries, as well as providing psychological support for the disaffected.
Our team also recently helped in the flood relief efforts in the Cumbria and the Hebden Bridge areas of North England.
Your UK projects donations will help us to provide emergency funding for projects in the U.K where its most needed. Thank you for your continued support.
